Buy Morchang for Sale. Morchang is a wind percussion instrument which has its origin in Rajasthan, India. It is also popularly used in South India and Sindh. It is usually crafted from wrought iron but these days some brass morchang are also available which are better in quality. A basic resembles a horse shoe and consists of a ring. However, with advancements, there are many different shapes and sizes available. 

 

There are two metal forks that form a frame and a metal tongue is present between them. The tongue is fixed to ring at one end and its other end is free to strike and vibrate. The free end is bent at a plane perpendicular to the ring and is known as a trigger.

 

Morchang is also known as morsing, jaw harp, Jew's harp. Morchang is mainly used for tradional music called lok geet in Rajasthan, India.
