Concert Tabla Set

The top of our range, and drums built for situations where every stroke is exposed.

The heaviest copper bayans, the most carefully selected shells, and the best puri and shyahi work we can get. What you are buying is depth, sustain and tuning stability under stage conditions, and those three qualities are exactly what fail first on a cheaper drum when the room gets big.

Am I good enough for one? This is the question we get most, and the answer is that concert sets are easier to sound good on, not harder. Nothing about them punishes an intermediate player. The barriers are price and weight, never playability.

The weight is real. A concert bayan over five kilos is a different physical object from a student drum. If you carry your own instruments to gigs, factor that in honestly before ordering.

Maintenance. Keep it covered, away from humidity swings and direct sun, and tune with light hammer strokes rather than force. When a puri eventually wears, any competent tabla technician can replace it. A good shell outlives several skins, which is part of what makes these worth the money over twenty years.
