Extra heavy at 5.5 kg, built by Md. Ashraf. This is about as much mass as a bayan usefully carries: the bass is deep, slow and very stable, and the drum simply does not shift while you play. Handmade puddis, sheesham dayan tuned to C#.

Open the packing as soon as it arrives so the instrument can air and settle into tune. Keep it away from direct heat and damp.
Our largest instruments, full-size tanpuras and surbahars, travel as dedicated freight rather than at a standard rate, so their shipping is quoted individually.
Payment is by card link for orders up to $700, or bank transfer for any amount. Import duties, where your country charges them, are payable on delivery and are not included in the price.
