Both categories of sitar – that is Ravishankar and Vilayat khan follow specific and different tuning techniques.

This is a Sitar made by one of the best Sitar makers of India and made to perfection. This concert quality Sitar is made from Tun - the Indian Cedar wood. The inlay work and wooden carvings are very precise and neat and the Sitar looks very elegant. This kind of quality is hard to find, the finished look is quite amazing. This is a Ravi Shankar style Sitar and the jwari is done in Kharaj Pancham. The Sitar is ready to play, all you will have to do is rotate the pegs to tighten the strings.
There are 7 main pegs and 13 sympathetic pegs, the second tumba is quite big and of very good quality.The Sitar comes in an excellent Fiber case and with an extra string set.

We also pack the instruments with great care so that they arrive in perfect condition. However, in a rare case, if you receive a damaged or defective item we will collect and replace it at our cost.
Please inform us within two days of the receipt of a defective item by sending an email to help@tablasitar.com along with the details of the defects and photographs. We will also ask to file a report with the courier company so that we can claim insurance.
