About Dhol

The dhol is a double-sided sided barrel drum played as a solo as well as an accompanying instrument in many parts of India. It is a traditional Punjabi Bhangra accompaniment, as it is with the traditional dance of Gujarat, called Raas, and the religious music of Sufism too.
Dhol is a sought after Indian percussion instrument in both formal and informal dance performances for decades. Formal Bhangra performances still involve traditional dhol in a big way. The dhol has come to ggain popularity not only in North and West India and Pakistan, but is much-loved throughout India, Fiji, Trinidad, Guyana and the United Kingdom, Australia, Armenia and North America. Please note that when you buy dhol from us and order it online, we always test the items before shipping to you. We also pack the instruments with great care so that they arrive in perfect condition. However, in a rare case, if you receive a damaged or defective item we will collect and replace it at our cost.

Please inform us within two days of the receipt of a defective item by sending an email to help@tablasitar.com along with the details of the defects and photographs. We will also ask to file a report with the courier company so that we can claim insurance.

Sorry, No Returns (yet!): All sales are final and we don't offer returns at the moment. We do, however, offer replacements if you receive defective or damaged items. We will be offering 7-day local US, UK and Canada returns very soon!

We Pay Custom Duties: If you have been charged a customs duty on your dhol, please email us a copy of the receipt on help@tablasitar.com within two days and we will pay it back to you. This only applies to USA and UK customers.

Remote-area Charge: If you live away from the city in a remote area in US/Canada/Australia, courier companies charge a little extra for delivery.
