General Questions

How do I contact you?

The most efficient method to contact us is by our ticketing system. This helps us respond to your queries in a very efficient manner. You can also contact us by email or phone. Details are available on our contact us page. Please note that we are closed on weekends.

Can I speak to someone?

Yes, we are a small organisation and would like to hear from our customers. We don’t run a call-centre, so our operations staff would answer your call.  They may not have all the information at hand and may call or email you back with an answer.

If you need information about your order, it is perhaps best to use the online tracking system in your account section.

Music Instrument Questions

Do you have all the music instruments in stock?

We do have 90% of the music instruments in stock. Sometimes, different parts of a single music instruments could be stored at different locations and could result in a temporary delay. Items that are not is stock are readily available from our vendors.

Can you tune a musical instrument before you ship it?

We tune all music instruments before shipping them out. If you would like your instrument to be tuned in a specific method, we can do that for you as well. Let us know to what note you would like it to be tuned. We don’t charge anything extra for this service, unless your request is overly complicated and takes a lot of time to fulfill.

What is the brand of the musical instruments sold by you?

We supply music instruments from various brands and in almost all the cases the brand would be visible on the product, especially electronic products. Most of the hand-made instruments are shipped under the our own brand name, AllEthnic.

What if the musical instrument that I want is not listed on your website?

If you would like us to source a musical instrument from India and ship it to you in any part of the world, we would be very happy to do so.

If the product is not listed on our website, please contact us and provide us with as much information and web-links as you can, including a photo. We will try our best to find this product for you and send it across to you.

Shipping Questions

What is your Shipping Policy?

Verified orders typically ship within 2-3 days of order placement. Orders ship from our warehouse in the UK, USA or Canada. Some orders may also shipped from India. You would receive your items within 7-15 days in most cases. Our service professionals work diligently to ensure that your order is accurate and on time.

We advice you to check the items on arrival in fornt of the delivery person. In case of a damage please request the delivery person sign a note. Please also take photos and email us .

On what basis is the shipping charged?

We offer FREE SHIPPING to USA, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Belgium, The Netherlands, Switzerland & Mexico.

For other countries, the shipping price is dependent on the weight of item and destination. So shipping price for each product varies, depending on the country to which it is being shipped. To find out the details of any product’s shipping price to a specific country, please visit the product details page and scroll through the shipping price drop down. Shipping prices would also be displayed during the checkout process.

What if my country is not listed?

If you can't find your country while you are trying to place your order, we may still be able to deliver to you at an extra cost. Please contact us.

How long does it takes for my items to arrive?

How do I track my packages?

You can track the progress of your order from the My Account section.

As soon as your items are shipped, you order status will be updated and you will be emailed a tracking number. You would then track your package on the website of the shipping provider.

What about customs duties?

All the items shipped from within your country will have no customs duties. Some items, which are shipped directly from India are generally not subject to customs duties, if the goods are shipped to individual's residential properties. If there is a charge, please email us a copy of the receipt and we will refund you (This ONLY applies to USA ).

What about goods sent to Australia?

Some items that use animal skins sent to Australia or other countries with similar import regulations may have to go through a special treatment and tests after they arrive. These tests/treatments are not limited to gamma treatment and at are the discretion of the customs authorities. The customs authorities may charge you directly for these tests/treatments.

Can I order on phone?

We are happy to take your order on phone, but at the moment, you can only pay online using PayPal. You do need to have access to internet and email to be able to complete your order.

Do you have any showrooms or retail stores?

To deliver Indian musical instruments to you at the best possible prices, we try not to incur any overhead costs. Thus we don’t have any retail shops or show rooms. We only operate from our warehouses in the UK, USA, Canada and India.

We are sometime present at various tradeshows and markets worldwide. We do let our customers know about our presence at such events via our website and newsletter.

Returns/Replacement/Damaged Items Questions

What is your returns policy?

At the moment, we have a 7-day returns policy in the UK.

My items have arrived damaged, what do I do?

Please note that we test all the items before shipping. We also pack our items with great care so that they arrive in perfect condition. However, in a rare case, if you receive a damaged or defective item we will collect and replace it at our cost.

Please inform us within two days of the receipt of a defective item by sending an email to help@tablasitar.com along with the details of the defects and photographs. We will also ask to file a report with the courier company so that we can claim insurance.

Please be patient and we will make sure that you are satisfied.

Three Month Electronics Repair/Replacement Warranty (USA, UK and Canada only)

If your electronic music instrument stops working within 3 months because of a manufacturing defect, we will replace or repair it. Please note that damage caused by accidents is not covered - only manufacturing defects are covered.

Please inform us within three months of the receipt of the item by sending an email to help@tablasitar.com along with the details of the defects and photographs. We will also ask you to send it to our collection center in the UK, USA or Canada - depending on your country. Please note that you will bear the cost of posting the item to our collection center in your country.

What is remote-area charge?

If you live away from the city in a remote area in US/Canada/Australia, courier companies charge a little extra for delivery. Please click here to check if you live in a remote area. You can always collect the shipment from the nearest office of the courier company at no extra cost.

At the moment we only use PayPal to receive payments. PayPal accepts all the major cards payment system from around the world, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Solo etc.
