About Red-Painted Brass Tabla Set

Prepared to mark the beat to India's melodies, this Red colured tabla resonates with the allure of the past.

A tabla comprises two drums, a bass drum or bayan which is the biggest of the two, played with the left hand, and the treble or dayan, to be placed on the right.

This tabla features a bayan with painted brass body whereas the dayan is carved from sturdy wood. Both feature goatskin drumheads and camel leather straps to adjust the pitch. A steel tuning hammer is included while the drums rest upon specially designed pads.
